What a shock this morning when I learn that you have been awarded the Nobel Peace Obama. Look, I sympathize with the new U.S. president, but what the Nobel? Certainly does not deserve it. At least not now.
With a country at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and after less than a year in front of the White House, the Obama administration is very green as to merit recognition. At this point the only thing that can be assessed are its laudable intentions, good "mood" as some would say-but this is pie in the air. Scientists need to demonstrate their contributions to humanity and revolutionary advances made prior to applying for a Nobel. The prize for Obama is like honor a researcher simply want to find an AIDS vaccine or cancer. It makes no sense.
Clearly the committee that selects Nobel winners has been infected by Obamania, indeed, say that they overdose. Playing to speculate, imagine that must have been very relieved with the victory of Barack in the elections of November 2008, the demise of Bush's presidency, and the change of style in the White House. I share that feeling, but I think it does not justify the award.
Obama himself has insured that does not deserve it, as they think the readers of liberal Washington Post in a survey and, in general, many of whom support the U.S. leader.
More than a recognition for a job, the Nobel Peace seems positive reinforcement. Like when a child is recognized to have done something right to keep it that way. I think that basically the Norwegian Nobel wanted to send a message to Obama voters and Americans in general: "So, yes kids. That is what the world needs. "
The Award because Obama is Bush. I am convinced that without his 8 years running the country's Nobel Obama would never have considered for the award right now. Moreover, I have my doubts that Obama would come to the White House without the prior Bush administration.
Perhaps Obama would have to call her to thank her predecessor.
