Film Review: Brüno

fer Fernando Mexia, the pen.

Sacha Baron Cohen leaves no stone cold in "Brüno", an insulting and irreverent caricature of the celebrity world that transcends the boundaries of Hollywood and ridiculed without measure designers, anxious parents that their baby go on television, adoptions of African children ( like Madonna), gays, the homophobes, the problems in the Middle East, the abuse of immigrants and a lot more than isolated incidents that together form a film that attempts to assimilate the success of its predecessor, "Borat."

The interesting ante Cohen (mocking the famous) through the character of Bruno, a gay Austrian journalist specializing in fashion that is willing to do anything to be a celebrity, ends up being a story with ups and downs, quite disjointed, and a more than enough sexual content treated in a foul which makes one wonder if the film crosses the gender line porn.

Without going into detail on the strings say that production is true to the style of Candid Camera, which are some familiar faces (especially for American audiences), is involved in the Spanish brand Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and had a scene with La Toya Jackson was finally abolished after the death of Michael Jackson (who Brüno wanted to call for an interview).

"Brüno" is a film designed to make you think while you have a good time, but only the viewer who comes to the movies with intention not to take sides and get away from the offenses laugh and enjoy with such disrespect.

The pace of the tape is consistent, we go from one story to another with no time to digest what just happened. A chain of events more or less sense.

The final challenge of "Brüno" clearly outside of offending those who can, is to beat the $ 260 million made by "Borat", another work by Cohen that was harshly criticized in Kazakhstan, where is supposed to be the star- but was received with open arms in the U.S..

I recognize that in the screening of the film I went to the room was packed and there were many laughs, but ultimately the audience was leaving a warm applause (very common in the U.S. in movies clapping). See if the world understands the jokes or insults gets.
